Btw, the X7 series has maple shells. I have a CX series set, but bought a 14" X7 floor tom on ebay and rewrapped it to use on my set. X7's have never been offered in poplar, only the FS series was.

@ktphotog39 I've already emailed DW / PDP support to confirm that PDP only began making x7 in maple in 2009. I don't mind the difference, but I'd have to see a bit of extra proof since I personally did email them and got the response. I can forward you the email if you'd like.

@ACollectionist That could be right, I guess I just assumed they'd ALWAYS been maple. My mistake. I DO love the fade on your set (mine is the white onyx CX wrap). It looks more blue than in the promo photos, though.

@ktphotog39 Thanks. Do you like the color you have better than the promo pics? Also, this kit I recently sold to my dad. I picked up a fairly old Tama Starclassic Bubinga kit. Just wish I knew how to tune/play to get the best out of them.

dude this is the craziest setup ive ever seen ha i thought u were a lefty at first because of where ur double peddle is but then i realized ur just crazy with the setup haha. ts different man pretty cool though
