  • do yous ever take the restricters out of the quads

  • @vanderbgn well i can't anymore.. i don't have it anymore

  • pretty sure he got a pipe on that haha but it wouldn't make that much diff anyway though

  • @billcross178 ok ppl it was my bike i think i would know... if you take out the baffle the stock pipe becomes louder.

  • is it me or does it have a pipe ? sure sounds like it

  • @smoke9699 it doesn't

i'm not gonna lie though, the first time we raced, each of us were bone stock, i thought for sure he'd smoke me on the big end, but once he goes into 5th it's like the quad hits a brick wall. found out later why that is...heard once you remove limiter it picks up a few mph. it will hang with me from a stop, and comes down to rider, but until he does something about the limiter/gear/cam...the result will be the same for top speed. hell i even told him that and he's still stock

  • @FaceVol5

he's still on stock sprockets, which i believe are 14/36...i'm on 14/37 or 38.

he can shift just fine, not a bad rider by any means. he justs anxious in drags and screws up. of course i make same mistakes too here and there.

he has HMF slip on, K&N intake with lid off....he just put HMF header on...no tune though. i told him to get a programmer cause it goes lean as shit without it but to no avail.

  • @prowler10393 - did your cousin ever change sprockets on his 700? does he know how to ride well? just curios because i can.

  • @FaceVol5

well rider weight makes a helluva difference on quads. try racing against a guy that weighs 110 on a YFZ...they are hard as hell to beat in a 300ft drag.

i saw that vid, which actually a turbo on raptor is good cause you can run high boost since it's not a high comp motor. only problem is practicality for trails. great for dunes though.

i'd take the raptor over a 450 in a hearbeat though. unless your racing all the time, raptor is a much better buy, especially for modding

  • @FaceVol5

lol yeah i been beat before...my first time ever at the drag strip i lost twice in the row. had my suspension too soft and wheelied so i let off...well you can't let off in a drag race so i lost. i got videos where i lose to KFX450s. the only thing i'm saying is i never been beat top speed wise...My GPS on my phone reads like 78mph on the stock gearing with 20s...Probably higher with the 22s on.

  • @prowler10393 - so are you saying though that a pred is the fastest quad ever? have you ever been beaten?

  • @prowler10393 - yea i liked it, but i was only 185 then lmao im 240 lbs now. theres no way im going 2 stroke again. thumper is where its at. im just stuck between a raptor or a 450. i cant get an 525 of any kind where im at unless im financing it. got 3,000 to spend and theres this guy that has a 2006 white/grey one for 3,000. have you ever seen this?

makes me want a turbo raptor....

  • @FaceVol5

if it wasn't for the banshee sticking around for 20 years i don't know where the sport atv market would be.

but with the right set of pipes and jetting it would certainly stomp on most stock 4 strokes

  • @prowler10393 u know what will spank that pred tho?

    watch?v=CUjqM0-g52Y

    thats me lol

  • @FaceVol5

as far as the 450mxr...if you're getting an outlaw, just go right for the 525. i wouldn't mess around with any 450. i'd take the raptor over a 450 for practicality purposes.

maybe i'm lucky and got a factory freak with my predator. all i did to it was intake, slip on, and jetting. other than that, it's bone stock.
