Man, Hank just laid his heart and soul wide open to us and hence oozed sincerity. What courage and what a difference to today's insincere crap.

Thanks Hank

Near the end of his life he was only in his late 20's, but he looked 40. He had a lot of pain, both emotional and physical. It made for some great authentic heartache in his music, but it was no way to live. He never reached his 30th birthday. So sad.

Beautiful song, Hank at his best, great vid clips, I especially like the ones of him & Audrey & Lycrecia (his daughter) & the ones with his drifting cowboys & the great ONE, Ernest Tubb!!!

you know it,,,
even though he had to suffer to write some of what he did.
I guess he could have written other themes, apart from gospel and love(heartache); could we be so selfish to ask this man to suffer all those years(beyond what he did) to be so creative and heartfelt?
