There are lots of people who never played before and it would be nice to have an explanation as if you were talking to a beginner who has never played before. What happens if you go over the total by accident? There are things about scoring that you didn't explain and some that was not clear to a total novice. I think you could start from the very beginning, by explaining the objectives and some examples of strategies and common examples of mistakes that beginners make. Thanks!
Also, is there no score at all in the black ring on the outside (with the numbers in it)?In other words - do you score from the 'double' ring inwards, only? Sorry for my ignorance; but I'm not REALLY stupid, I know and play many games - golf, Aussie Rules, Snooker, Bridge etc etc etc. But darts?......nup!
Thankyou!! You explained it well. Short simple and sweet. BTW, what is your opinion of 'magnetic' darts? I know of some neighbours who play Aussie Rules Footy (darts) with them, but I'd like to know if they're O.K. for ordinary games like 301 etc. I'm going to try to organise some physically handicapped kids to play - and regular darts are just too dangerous for them. (We won't EVER be playing competition games, of course! - I just need to know some basics about it.)
I posted part of the ADO rules if anyone would like to learn more about darts just Google ADO (American Darts Org.) You can also Google BDO. What I would like to know is what League or tournaments this guy (stewartx5) has played in that does not use the "Bust Rule"?
I made two other posts yesterday that have since been removed as well as my 1st post. Stewartx5 is giving bad info when he says if you leave 1 in a game of darts you loose.
