Rite in the Rain All-Weather Writing Paper products. RITR makes paper that can withstand being dunked underwater yet still be able to be written on. Doesn't even smear existing writing. I show the Field Binder kit.

  • were do you get you maps of the hikeing trails?

  • I pick them up at the ranger station at the park, or via the mountain hiking club I belong to. There are some online topo sites that might be helpful with free topo maps.

  • Great review, definatley getting that field binder kit. Anyone into long range shooting should consider getting one of these whether military or otherwise. This has great potential to be a log book, and with those punchout print sheets you can even make your own range cards / wind / calc and place / data sheets on your computer for numerous conditions all in a neat package. Those military symbols are for marking maps btw. They even have a symbol for raping/pillaging :S. Thanks for the review!

  • A note: penicils work well in the rain WITH write in the rain notebooks. Pencils are also non-mechanical for reliablity. Which reminds me of a urban legend handed down from the astronautical field. USA space program spent allot of money to develope a pen that would work in space. USSR space program used a pencil. LOL

  • @RoscoeBa Thank you very much! :)

I figured on the green one, but info is appreciated. If I'm not mistaken that Green Field Book contains 16 pages of tactical references. If that is so, I don't think I'll be buying it although I prefer the green color over yellow. Those pages are a waste of space for us non-military boys and girls. :) I'm thinking of buying that Yellow Journal to log my trips. But I was afraid it was too big.

  • SOGGYWETNESS LOL

  • fisher bullet space pen is my current edc pen, would pair nicely with the rite in the rain paper.

  • @johnmonk66

either way, sounds fancier when she sais it.

  • Hey RoscoeBa, I was just thinking that maybe the tiny pocket is there to hold a replacement ink cartridge? If that's not it then I dunno... ;D

  • hey!! a got mine from maxpeditioncom and never see the tactical cards... were you got them???
