  • Thanx for this vid! Strongly considering... any word on mpg with a light foot?

  • @robsolf I average 19 MPG daily. Mix of city & highway. My daily MPG didn't change any, but the MPG I get on trips did! I used to get ~27 on road trips, and now I get around 23. Worth it though. Car is a beast out of the hole!

  • I have a 5 speed in my 2010....my wife can't drive a stick so...BONUS!

  • why not, with the right tuning it can shift faster than most manual drivers can, the 5R55S is one of the best autos out there, id take it over the manual any day.

  • @TroutButter I got the 4.10s this week ! best upgrade to my stang yet! Love the gear !

  • @marc12marc 4.10s. Don't fear the gear! :)

  • I'm still thorn between the 4.10 & 3.73s in my auto 2008 GT .. can't decide what to get.

  • Is it bad to drive an automatic 08' mustang in 2nd, i do it all the time. just want to know if it'll mess up the engine. i drive it in 2nd because its fast and responsive.

  • Hmmm... I must not know how Youtube does replies... thought your reply to mine didn't show up. to repeat what I'd already said, unless you're all highway, this sounds like a mod to consider, and I appreciate chrissgt for running video of it!

  • @ChrissGT dunno what happened to your your reply to me. 23-24 MPG is significant on the highway, but I still can't help but assume that your foot will let off earlier in city driving... it's a very tempting upgrade, so long as they adjust the MPH. And keep in mind, MPH is ALWAYS off.

  • @ChrissGT Thanks, again! Sounds like you get slightly less than I do, now, bone stock. I drive about 60% highway, though, so 4.10's may be a bigger sacrifice for me. Maybe when I get a tuner I could get a tune that can compensate.

  • The theoretical top speed of these cars is around 200 MPH. Since we don't live in a vacuum you will never reach it, no matter how much power you have. These cars seem to be limited aerodynamically to around 155 - 160 MPH. Even with 4:10 gears you won't be able to reach redline in 5th. Some people get too hung up on potential loss of top speed with 4:10s. Top speed is somewhat useless on public roadways. Having a vehicle that is geared properly to the speeds we normally drive is more important.
