Dr. Sarah Matovu will not strike you as a medical doctor when you first interact with her because of her simple personality. But among the
diaspora community the name does not only invoke interest of someone who has supported numerous Ugandan affairs but rather someone really
interested in the wellness of her diaspora community. Dr. Sarah Matovu was educated at the Makerere University Medical School were she completed
her studies in 1979. She also did residencies at Southwest Comm & MC and the Morehouse School of Medicine.

A wife and a mother Dr. Sarah Matovu who owns and runs her own Family practice in Macon, Georgia has won numerous awards and recognition
for her work. She is also a member of the Uganda North American Medical Association registered in the State of Georgia.[http://www.unams.org/]
UNAA Times recently caught up with Dr. Sarah Matovu for a rare sit down interview about her work and advise to the diaspora community on fighting
obesity, heart disease and how to maintain healthy living amidst the stressful lifestyle abroad.
