This is our 1983 Renault LeCar. The car has about 94k miles runs and drives very good, but does need some work as the pictures show. This is a very inexpensive way to get yourself into a "unique" automobile. The car is currently for sale on E-BAY waiting for a new owner to give her some TLC.

  • In Europe Le Car is known as Renault 5, and they have a reputation for being a very tough car.

  • @MORRIS6161 do you still have this car for sale. my dad had a 1983 and loved it i live in ohio and thought this would be cool to have again

  • Cool! I don't remember the 4-door. I had a yellow coupe with a rag-top. Bought it from my sister and drove it for years until Renault pulled out of the U.S. and parts became harder and harder to locate. It is still one of the best cars I've owned, excellent design and fun to drive. Some enterprising carmaker would do well to resurrect this design and stay simple. Comfy and supportive Recaro seats STANDARD (the entire seat lifted forward so it was easy for rear seat passenters to step on in.

  • Nice. Mine is a 1981 4 doors, metallic blue and a canadian version with 128 00 kmiles (203 000 km).

Rust issue like yours in the trunk (although less than that in the video). Otherwise, everything is original except radiator and brake master cylinder....and tail pipe. Will go faster than 90mph.

Bought brand new in Montreal back in October 1981 for $ CAN 6200, one of the best purchases I made. Not built like the disposable sh..t produced by car manufacturers nowadays.

  • very nice...do you still have car? More details are needed. where on planet Earth are you located? how much?
