On Sept. 22, 2010, Cindy Blackstock, the Executive Director of First Nations Child and Family Caring Society of Canada gave a compelling lecture on the reality of child welfare in Indigenous communities across Canada. This lecture was titled "Is this our Canada? How racial discrimination in children's services undermines the potential of this generation of First Nations children and what you can do to help". WATCH, LISTEN and TAKE ACTIONS!
I wish more people, more Canadians, would watch this. I am not a citizen yet but I want to get involved in fighting for the equal rights of First Nation people. This presentation shocked me, I had no idea that this was taking place in this nation. Shame on the government.
