Two Cage Gerbilarium

Our two male Gerbils have great fun together in our extended Gerbilarium made from two cages joined with plumbing fittings. They chew the pipe ends all the time but they are very cheap to replace.

where did you get the mulch from? is it safe? and what kind of paper shreds did you use for bedding?

@therandomone1231 We use an organic compost / mulch from the garden centre. Nothing special but should be safe. It tends to be very wet when first used so we now open the bag and let it dry out for a while before we use it as we use to get mould growing on the sides of the plastic bit of the cage. The shredded paper in the video is from the pet store but we now just use our old shredded documents paper. You should really try to avoid bleached paper or anything with a lot of ink on it though.

is the wire part on top of the bin a tank topper? if so, where did you get it? im looking fro a ten gallon tank toppper with wire floors (if they were plastic my gerbils would chew them to bits). If you got it online please tell me the webiste you ordered it from. thank you and good video

@poppyandswish25 Hi there - The wire part on top of the tank came with the cage so I have no idea where you might find something to fit a different tank. Sorry.

There's another video that shows you how to fit the pipe through the cage bars on my channel but you will need to cut some bars before you can fit the pipe.

@myfurryfrendz123 Hi There. The tubes have slits on the underside to provide both grip and ventilation. :-) So don't worry too much. They have been chasing one another around the tubes for almost two years now and haven't expired yet.

omg you need to get like habitrail tubes or crittertrail tubes for your furr frends im worried because there are no air holes in the tubes
