Ramblin' Man - Allman Brothers - Cover

ALL COPYRIGHTS REMAIN WITH THE ORIGINAL OWNER! My first video - ever! I wanted to try out my setup, so I picked a very familiar tune & let 'er go. I'm tuned a full step down.

Vocal harmonies from the Digitech Vocalist Live 4 (VL4) and the backing track is a MIDI file I downloaded from the web (tweaked considerably) & used Native Instruments (NI) Bandstand to generate the wav file.

I tried playing along with you but the chords were way off on a standard tunes guitar.. is it down or up?

Hi, as stated in the video info, I'm tuned a full-step down, so I'm actually in the key of F rather than G. (I know, it's a pain if you want to play along.)

The chords you're playing as I see them is not the right key. Are you singing with the track you recorded or have I lost it here? Sounds good btw. Cheers.

As noted in the video info, I'm tuned down a full step - a G chord sounds as an F chord, etc.

you said you covered your voice with the loud vocals and you have a drum machine. I cant hear your guitar over all the other stuff you've got goin' there and a solo from an MIDI file.... hmmm how much of this is actually you?? just wondering.

A fair enough question, here. In my description I state that it's my first vid & I just wanted to see how my setup worked. Since I'm just strumming chords, I didn't feel it needed to be higher in the mix. (I'm not much of a lead picker, hince the MIDI lead.) But you have to play chords into the harmonizer so it can follow your melody to generate harmonies.  I was primarily focusing on the overall mix & especially the harmonies from the Vocalist Live 4. It was a fairly new toy, at the time.

Very nice i enjoyed that. dont think your vocals are too loud. The mix sounds just right to me
