From the Jacksonville Jazz Fest, Oct 16, 1983. Shortly after Buddy's heart surgery and he's back playing.. amazing!! This is an arrangement of one of my favorite Clifford Brown compositions. Andy Gravish is playing the trumpet solo.

  • For those who commented on Andy's throat expansion on tpt, he gave me lessons iwhen I was in 7th and 8th grade during the summers, and my throat does the same thing, but it wasn't on purpose by either of us. Telling us not to do that makes no sense, because we can't not do it that way...

  • @arame29 buddy's been dead for years. Certainly not playing with tony bennet.

  • ?????????

  • Perfect!!

  • Years b4 he joined Tony Bennett, you could tell he was a special player. He and Buddy really gelled on his solo, Buddy dropping be-bop bombs and accents in front of and in back of the bar. Classic.

  • @Easleytee he can do whatever the hell he wants, he's buddy rich.

  • A man of that history and talent should not be wearing a baseball cap while swinging.

    It's undignified.

  • He's now w/Tony Bennett and it's easy to see why. Played the heck out of this

  • That was an amazing sax soli.
