wish my 95 escort had a/c, it has a leak some where, i replaced the lines and it still leaks out. i think it may be leaking out of the condenser.

The A/C on my '90 Escort LX has air conditioning, but it doesn't blow cold...it blows out room temperature. Hey, at least I have some kind of A/C right?

@Bittboy Dude, you have what everyone else with a car that is 20yrs old also has. Leaky seals, etc your a/c needs to be charged b4 it will work, and like I said, prolly needs several seals replaced.

@Spendell203 Did it have ac at one time, or did it never have ac? If it just needs a compressor as mine did that would not be hard to fix. Now id you never had ac, that would be a totally different story and I would not try to change it these days. But if you have plenty of time and money that's a different story. The reason I wouldn't try to retrofit it these days is because I had a stroke and I developed MS at the same time, so I can't do that kind of work anymore.

@lectricgenius Does freeze 12 refrigerant feel as cold as the old R-12 freon A/C systems we used to enjoy? I remember my Mom's 89 Mazda MX6, it held it's original R-12 charge for 17 years before it leaked out but man was it cold for the time being.
