I see, I remeber first time I tried one I went through a whole box of matches trying to keep it lit, I was too afraid to suck on the cigar did not want to inhale it, and I was laughing my ass off because I though of all the disney cartoons with smoking in them smoking like a foundry huffing in and out in the mannor I described, and I did not want to get the smoke in my lungs as smoking is full of carcinagines and I did not know how to puff it and it kept going out.

how to smoke a pipe? ya take yar pipe and get some tabbacco and stuff it down in there and strik a match up and huff away makeing sure to breath it in deep and furiously puffing like a runnaway steamtrain, and dont let er go out, and keep going till you finish the bowl all the way to the bottom puffing furiously and unceasingly!

just kidding that is how not to smoke but it gave me a good laugh to type it kelly.

Hey Kel, thanks for another great vid. I just wanted to add that that site has several other "kits"
Most include captain black (which is actually what I and most likely many other pipe smokers have started on) and everything else that you need. I advise any new pipe smoker to check them out to get started. ~$35 isnt that bad of a price.

I'll tell ya, Kel...Should I ever have a serious go at this distinguished hobby again(procratinator) I will DEFINITELY be procuring one of the types of lighers that you have. Trying to ignite the tobacco with a match was a pain in the ass. Must have taken MASSIVE patience back in the day...

@TheGentlemanScholar I have never been more happy than when I switched to a lighter over matches. I love my little lighter, it has made my hobby ten times easier for me.
