& you absolutely NEVER cut the tail feathers. I'd LOVE to know where you got the idea that people should do this to prevent flight. Tail feathers are used for balance and steering ONLY.
...Did you even do research into your pet before purchasing ???

@OhPhilly That's ignorant. Cutting off the flight feathers on one wing throws a bird off balance, and they are more likely to hurt themselves. It might work for your birds but you shouldn't tell people to trim just one side. If you take your bird to any certified AVIAN vet, they cut the first 5-7 (max 9) flight feathers on BOTH sides. and no other feathers. Don't give out the wrong information. Do some research first, and talk to a vet before you do anything like that to your pet.

He's cute.. looks alot like my quaker oatie. Did you cut his tail to stop him flying? I know you can trim one wing to stop that.
