www.CycleBeads.com -- This video discusses why healthcare providers are not offering natural birth control options even though they are the best family planning choice for many women and should be included when offering a full range of contraceptive options. It also introduces CycleBeads, a highly effective, easy to use, and low cost fertility awareness-based birth control option that has been used by millions of women and couples helping them manage their sex lives and plan or prevent pregnancy naturally.

  • CycleBeads

CycleBeads works for women with cycles between 26-32 days long. Most women have cycles in this range, but not all. Some women think of themselves as "irregular" when their cycles are not exactly the same length each month, but it is normal to have some variation. That said, if your cycles are irregular -meaning they vary widely in length- or if they are simply outside the 26-32 day range, there are other natural methods that you can use - the 2Day Method, symptothermal method, etc.

I learned about this stuff when I was 12, yes I was gettin' into dating & I made it my business to know what I was gettin' myself into. They have phone apps called "Mydays" that are the computer version of these beads. It beats having your gallbladder taken out cause U were on the patch or whatever or a blood clot that can cause U to lose a limb or even UR life.

Indeed this is important information for girls and women!

Regarding computer and phone apps, there are a few out there based on various natural birth control methods. Currently, there are NO apps available based on the Standard Days Method, the method behind CycleBeads (both are protected under patent). However, an app is being developed and is coming soon . . . !

They basically assume you want to be on the pill or some other method. Just like if you have pain or are sick, they assume you just want some pill to make it go away. The diaphragm is also not popular anymore. Our culture seems to have lost interest in natural methods. I used to take the pill but now use cycle beads along with withdrawal and am very happy. I just wish more women knew there are other options besides putting hormones into your body.

This can be very helpful and much easier to follow than the charting and cerivcal mucous examining methods but this can also be a way to involve your boyfriend or husband in how your cycle works, too.

Even if you don't use these as your sole method of birth control, I think this could be a good way of helping women be more in touch with your body, aware of its rhythms, and comfortable and confident with being a woman.

I would like to see each girl given these as a teaching tool when they start to menstruate to make them more informed, confident and comfortable with their own bodies. This can only lead to them making better choices for themselves in the long run.

Actually, there is an iCycleBeads app! It works on iPhones, iPads & I believe the iPod Touch. Other apps aren't based on the Standard Days method, which is 95% reliable when it comes to preventing pregnancy.

There is now an iPhone app based on the Standard Days Method - iCycleBeads. For anyone who has ever wanted a "high tech" version of CycleBeads, it is available at the iTunes store. Works on your iPhone, iPod Touch, and iPad. An Android version is coming soon.
