Bio: For over a decade, Walter Tsushima has been a moving force in the world of taiko overseas and in America. Before finding taiko, Sensei Tsushima was a serious practitioner of the martial arts, training in various disciplines such as Shotokan Karate, Aikido, Judo, and Tang Soo Do. A martial arts weapons champion at age 17 and still active today, he is one of the head instructors for the Paramount Karate and Weapons Federation.

Now dedicating his life as a full-time teacher of taiko, Sensei Tsushima holds workshops and classes across the country and globe. His background in the martial arts and taiko arts has resulted in a one-of-a-kind taiko system that not only produces highly skilled taiko players, but high quality human beings as well. You are invited to find your personal genius through the way of taiko.
