"I'm Walking Behind You" written by British songwriter Billy Reid in 1953 was recorded both by Frank Sinatra on April 2, 1953 and Eddie Fisher on April 7, 1953. While Sinatra's recording was a hit, Eddie Fisher's version on RCA Victor Records was more successful reaching number 1.

  • @AlenaJolie I can't swear to it, but I believe that clip is wrong. At the time it happened, Debbie made no bones about it, she was crushed. There was quite a lot of publicity and Eddie was not liked for a time as Debbie received public support. They had been appearing as happily married, America's pets, etc., and suddenly he was with Liz. Sure, he could be expected to befriend his pal's wife, but he openly wooed her almost immediately, even before the split with Debbie was made public.

  • Rootstown Oh. 1955 What a singer

  • What a wonderful voice!

  • wow my grandma used to sing this song and I always wondered what era it came from

  • this song makes me feel sorry for debbie reynolds cos he was singing it to liz taylor when she left him for richard burton

  • furrydaz -- Amen to that!

  • I just heard a clip where Eddie said Liz didn't break up his marriage with Debbie. He said he and Debbie were already divorcing. I was glad to hear that. He also said his relationship with Liz wasn't planned. He supported her, as a close friend of her husband Mike Todd, who died suddenly. What a great voice! Thank you for sharing it with us.

  • No hay palabras para la maravillosa sensación que se obtiene al escuchar esta hermosa voz ..... es canción muy triste, pero asombrosamente inolvidable!

    Gracias por subir.

  • Lucky guy,,he had some beautiful women in his time...
