Nassau Co. (NY) Autism & Vaccine Hearing-Assem. Marc Alessi

Marc Alessi was elected to the 1st Assembly District representing Brookhaven, Riverhead, Southold and Shelter Island in a special election on September 13, 2005, to fill the seat left vacant by the resignation of former Assemblywoman Patricia Acampora.

Marc is a dedicated father and community leader who makes his home in Shoreham with his wife Gretchen their daughter Sarah, and thier newborn son Samuel. He was born in Brooklyn and grew up on Long Island. His father, a union printer, emigrated from Italy at the age of nine, and his mother worked and raised six children. From delivering newspapers and mowing lawns as a youngster, to starting his own small business painting houses while in college, Marc developed a work ethic that has taken him through law school and into a life of public service.
