We decided to embrace our nostalgia and replicate the old "Vice City Online - RC1 Promotional Video," which coincidentally was released on January 1, 2009 - exactly three years ago!

Excellent video, I'm extremely impressed by the intensely accurate synch VCO has. However, as a friend told me, it would've been far better if the VCO guys and the only left VC:MP developer teamed up rather than make each others' projects rivals. Nevertheless, it is just an opinion and I'm eagerly waiting for both VCMP 0.4 and VCO 1.0. :)

@officialdz If maxorator is truly interested in joining us, then he is more than welcome to apply. However, given the time that VC-MP has been around and given it's seniority as a project, we find that highly unlikely. I'm sure that he has the goal of finishing what he started, which is perfectly admirable. However, also keep in mind that we're not only a VC multiplayer as a project. Thus, we each have entirely different goals for the most part.

@Jon00Alik1 The release (which has been delayed - read about it on our blog) will feature only Vice City, as it was in the past. When the map is completed, we will be releasing the full-scaled SOL-O which includes all three cities plus a plethora of custom areas of the map.

Can't fucking wait! I always thought vice city was better then SA and 4 and i've wanted multiplayer on it for awhile, (reliable i mean, sorry. :D), one question though. Is it going to be a steam like server-gui or do you need to enter the IP yourself?

Don't let the result of the public beta leave you down. What doesn't kill you today makes you stronger tomorrow. Few people are capable of what you guys are doing. There's a lot of people waiting for a good multiplayer mod for VC and you guys are one of their last hopes.

I'm not particularly interested in DM but I'd like to see a mod with servers capable of supporting good RP/RPG scripts. Been following your progress for over a year, stay strong.
