I hate it when people say players "can't be compared," but this is one of the few cases where they really can't. We're talking about two all time greats, but COMPLETELY different players. Beckenbauer was a defender, practically inventing the position of sweeper. His strength was his unbelievable accuracy, it was as if every pass was laser guided. Cruyff was a center forward, a playmaker. His strength was that he could shift positions with ease and excel at every role he was asked to play.

@moluksefreefighter01 Yeah rivelinho was great with a sharp left foot. I know gerson but not that good besides his 70 WC apereance. I am not big pele fan too and most importantly because of his big ego. He criticises a lot of brazilian players and they respond him to shut his mouth. A lot of people say pele talks much of crap.

@PacoZola Garrincha was one of a few who was not one dimensional, he could take on his opponent with lots of creativity, but i never said hes in the top, him ans pele are not even in my top 10 fav brazilian players, i take rivelino or gerson over them any day, exspecialy gerson, what a player he was.
