'You're a total complete killjoy': Reporter gets confronted by irate woman who blames her for ruining snow sledding

Not even a thing like live TV could stop an irate woman from voicing her disgust at being deprived of snow sledding.

And an innocent Seattle reporter was the one who had to bear the brunt of that fury simply because she was looking out for the safety of others.

Despite being broadcast live on air, the Seattle woman did not shy away from calling reporter Meg Coyle a 'killjoy' and blaming her for ruining everyone's fun.

And what did she do to receive such a dressing down? Ms Coyle was simply reporting on the dangers of sledding near oncoming traffic and reminding viewers there are laws prohibiting 'playing in the street'.

Not only was she looking out for the safety and well-being of others, she was also trying to keep locals on the right side of the law.

She told viewers: 'Not to be a killjoy, but if you are going to venture out on the hill, be safe and wear a helmet as it is getting icier and icier and the snow is getting more compact.'

She then points out the fact that, though the road is closed, buses and cars are still passing, making it dangerous for sledders, many of whom have already had some 'near misses'.

Not that she got any gratitude for it, however.

As she was reporting from Queen Anne Hill in the city - which had been shut due to snow and ice - a woman marched over to Ms Coyle and says: 'Thank you so much for ruining the fun, total complete killjoy. This has been going on for more than a decade and you're ruining it.'
