pull the spark plugs out and see how much water comes out. It sounds like you have hydro-locked it. Water in the cylinders does not compress, so if you turn the motor over...be ready to find bent rods. Water in the oil does not mean a head gasket. It could be the gasket between the riser and the exhaust manifold or even the intake gasket.

probably a selenoid clicking like that,
no big deal to replace.
