Extract from concert of Scottish music at the Lorient Festival, Brittany 2007. The Whistlebinkies folk group are joined by Kintyre Schools Pipe Band in The Kelty Pipers and The Flowers of Lorient, by Eddie McGuire.
The pieces played here form the final few minutes of a 45 minute piece that Eddie McGuire wrote as a finale for the 1997 'Festival Interceltique de Lorient' which brought The Whistlebinkies together with the Festival Orchestra, Flint Male Voice Choir, Scottish Power Pipe Band, Emma Christian (voice), Flory Neff (Irish pipes), Anton Davila (gaita pipes), John Kenny (carnyx) and Breton Bombardes. It was repeated in Glasgow and in Lorient in 1999. The score is at the Scottish Music Centre library.
