In visuals Ad may be an innovator but in engineering software it does more bad than Microsoft in operating systems market. Thanks to Ad a backward AutoCAD is awaiting the next generation of engineers, using its monopoly to hamper attempts to switch to alternative solutions and to stuff universities curriculum with pure 2D drafting classes - on AutoCAD of course. Not directly but indirectly.
