You know in a way, it may have been better off that Barker didn't do the nighttime run anyway, as it might have caused some confusion from viewers who maybe couldn't catch the show during the day, and would think it was being replayed at night if they saw Barker. Having Kennedy hosting was an easy way to separate them. Course then again......Feud never seemed to have the problem much when it had two runs going on concurrently, so what do I know? lol
Just a thought though.

The sad part is that stuff would cost three times as much today.

I never seen "yoghurt" spelled like that before.

He felt it was overexposure. I read an interview with him once where he said (and I'm paraphrasing this) five hourlong daytime episodes was enough, one extra episode in primetime every week might have been nice, but five hourlong episodes and five 30-minute episodes every week was just overkill. Presumably, he didn't want to be attached to a version that he fully expected to fail.

I remember prime time TPIR but for some reason I thought Barker hosted the primetime one too. Could you please tell me what yearsthe primetime version rean? I believe it may have been somewhere between the mid to late 80's.

This version ran 1985-86. Bob DID host a weekly primetime version from 1976-80, and he hosted a series of six primetime episodes for CBS in 1986. Either one could be what you're remembering.
