Everytime I saw this ad it reminded me of South Park .... well if you really want to reach mainstream Australia, maybe this will help :P

Where else but atmospheric CO2 do you suppose a plant obtains carbon to construct it's xylem? elevated CO2 is observed to enable more rigorous plant growth & reduce water demand; no need for a controlled environment, just observe the incursions being made into the Sahara and document over time. Currently the atmosphere is CO2 depleted, no need to kill birds generating electricity inefficiently in a futile effort to make that worse & pay homage to 'the cause'.

@patrickwright1 The recent warming isn't rapid and began at the conclusion of the little ice age; nothing to see here, please move on! You seem to have exponential curves confused, since 1997, there has been no atmospheric or oceanic warming, indeed a cooling trend is evident. You're also committing the same error as all the believers, Science cares nothing about votes, only politics can be decide that way, science requires observation and your faith is not supported by observation old chum.

Just type in GE exempt from carbon tax. Look for your self. I would like to see your source of information also I was at one stage on that side of the fence but having learned about the corruption that goes right to the top I just can't go along with it.

Its not a theory its a documented fact GE along with others, funded Obama's campaign. They didn't fund him for nothing they have an agenda which is to wipe out there competition and raise the price of electricity. Ever heard of a MONOPOLY.

Your beliefs are based on early warming periods that were not explicitly caused by increases in CO2. I don't necessarily think GE is a great organisation, but I am not a conspiracy theorist. Increasing CO2 will only assist certain plants under controlled greenhouse environments- increasing CO2 in the atmosphere will increase the plants need for resources such as water and fertiliser. Increased CO2 will also decrease the rate of photosynthesis, will damage plants and reduce nutritional qualities.

@patrickwright1 I think you'll find that THE INCONVENIENT TRUTH by Al Gore was a load of droppings. CO2 increases after warming not before sorry. Face it. Its just an excuse for companies like GE to wipe out there competition. Further more if CO2 increases plant life will flourish and give off more oxygen. There are ice core samples that show CO2 at levels 13X greater than now.
