John Francis walked across the US for 22 years and refused to speak for 17 in protest over an oil spill in San Francisco Bay. Ed Begley Junior, a Hollywood actor who has appeared in more than 35 movies, has been an environmentalist for more than 30 years and is the author of a guide on living an eco-friendly life. They both join the Riz Khan show to discuss their environmental activism.

  • Sorry to "spam" you (does this count as spamming?) but I am trying to get the word out about my petition against Bic's Soleil ladies razor advertisements.

For the first time ever, I am standing up against the way woman are portrayed in marketing, and I need your help. Please check out my petition, and sign if you feel the same way.

    Thanks for your time

  • We love ed!

  • A few years ago I once saw this famous, well.. a well known and more importantly "well off" poet leave a protest downtown on a bike.

  • Cars are the problem. But if you must, you can only do it in the US with making cars electric, not making cars run on ethonal, because the climates of Brazil and US are very different, and the US cannot grow sugar cane like Brazil.

Nature imposes limits for us to thrive within those. But yeah, Fuck cars.

  • Well, not quite sugar ethanol. If you use that, you'll end up with the same shortages as with the wheat and corn markets. But there are advances in bioethanol technology not too far off, where the material used is the actual WASTE of the sugar cane production cycle, and other such green-waste materials, such as corn stalks, rather than corn cobs.

  • I am Earth Liberation Front. I will speak for the trees, I will fight for the weak, I will live for life.

  • USA seriously needs to catch up with Brazil on the use of sugar ethanol and flex fuel cars!!!!!!!!!!1 errrrrrrr
