Anyone who doubts Doyle's skills should watch him play on the Roger Waters "In the Flesh" DVD. Emotion and skill all in one. It's fantastic.

Wow, that's pretty awesome.I remember when I saw Doyle Bramhall with Eric Clapton a while ago, on the Me and Mr. Johnson tour. (Billy Preston was with him too, RIP) I've been a fan ever since. It's strange to see a left handed guitar player play a left handed guitar with the strings upside down. At that show he also had a left handed Stratocaster with a right handed neck with the strings upside down. That really threw me....

When you hear a video with such a crappy audio quality and you still get to decode that freaking amazing tone is when you witness the greatest combination of all.... talent+gear... equals Real Tone... holy Shaitza!!! EPIC!

There are many "technical" players, but few with the soul and emotion that Doyle puts forth. And his singing is just as good.
