As for a more integrated North America, it is quite credible. With the Democrats and Obamacare, the US is moving leftward towards Canadian positions on issues such as health care and education. With Harper and the far-right Tories in Canada, that country moves rightward towards US positions, being tougher on crime, militaristic and privatizing. Both countries are probably to meet in between before long. I wonder how the Québec problem will be addressed...
