@blackstripes1 "shut up?" wtf? I was QUIET before (and STLL quiet haha) I read this comment! And I KNOW that race does NOT matter! I am NOT racist or pulling the "race card!" The reason why I said what I said is b/c New Orleans is predominately BLACK, & I think blacks there would be more comfortable with a BLACK mayor! What's racist about that? Thanks! ;)

@catwoman34 Bush got away with things? Are you kidding? I HATED Bush, but get real. He was the most villified President of my lifetime. People criticized the SHIT out of him for Katrina, even for stuff that OTHERS were responsible for. He was being called a heartless racist on national TV by pop stars & pundits. He deserved most of his criticisms, but to say he "got away" with anything is a wild statement. that guy was presented as everything ranging from a clueless buffoon to a satanic NAZI.

@jettastreetracer Afghanistan vets, too. I've heard that they actually used tactics learned from dealing with warlords in Afghanistan when dealing with gang leaders in the Super Dome. From what I've heard from the inside (multiple sources) the initial reports were NOT exxagerrated and it was indeed lawless bedlam at first, but they figured out how to work and negotiate with the gang leaders much in the same way they did tribal warlords.
