Sega Smash Pack - Columns

Pro Level 5 height flash columns run on the Sega Smash Pack for Dreamcast. Having not played ANY version of Columns in almost a year, I'm pretty happy with the time I got on this one. Anyway, this video is to show some of the poor sound of the Smash Pack - anyone who's played columns on the Genesis should be able to hear the distorted music and some of the sounds.

Hmm...I very like this game, my personal score record is almost 19,500,000 points^^ (yes, 19,5 millions), Level 199 but I can't remember how many Columns I broke... certainly the maximum possible...

In fact, I played with a friend in a competition, and we both played approximetively 2 hours and 10 minutes, and we reached a very high score...

On the Sega CD version I maxed out the gems, and got about halfway to maxing out the score before I finally turned it off. That was some good times.

I had never gotten use to how you move the rows. All you can do is move the gems up or down, you can not flip them. But for some reason I got better at it and can under stand it better and enjoy it more. But on the DC version, can you save your high scores? Other games data you can save, but not my high scores for this game. Is there a reason for this? Does the original game let you save or are we talking old school every reset you lose it and have to redo it?

Can someone please clear something up for me? What is the difference between "Arcade" and "regular" mode, aside from the split screen/full screen one?

the original columns had wicked music on the genesis

its easy to max out the score if your playing on easy mode, just 4 different colours of jewels.

Try playing in arcade or pro mode with 6 different colours of jewels, struggle to advance 10 levels!
