copied? haven't heard the original one by Ustad sahab. Tunes can be copied but can the singing be rivalled, there's not a single personality today in HFM that can rival Rafi, Manna Dey, Asha Bhosale. The singing, the lyrics, the aura, is what makes this song amazing!

lazad87 - thanks for this as I wasn't aware the MD had copied the composition. Does anybody know if Ustad Khan's name was mentioned in the film credits as it would be a shame if it wasn't?

@stuer3500 The tunes used in the barsat ki raat were in fact copied from Ustad Fateh Ali Khan, who was nusrats father. this song "na to caravan ki talash" was copied from ustad fateh ali khans "na butkade ki talab"
