Druids Of Stonehenge - Six Feet Down

1968

Sounding like early Rolling Stones meets early Grateful Dead, with incredible guitar breaks and a frenzied lead vocalist. Contains the beautiful harpsichord laced "Six Feet Down", an amazing version of "Signed DC", the best song ever written about Speed and a magical "I Put a Spell On You". Precious psych american explorations and textures.

David Budge - vocals
Carl Hauser - guitar, vocals, keyboard
Steve Tindall - drums, keyboard
Billy (B. T.) Tracy - guitar
Tom Paine Workman - bass

  • This genre wouldn't have exist if it weren't for the Blues.

  • damn man where do you get this music i have been listening since the 50's and never heard of them that big organ sound is good ..thank you for sharing

  • shh!!!!stop talking........i wanna listen......

  • @dannyhood66 Although origins of hard and heavy rock get blurred between the US and UK, I do have to agree with you that the brits invented the quintessential heavy metal guitar sound and we all have the likes of Marshall, Laney, SoundCity, among others, to thank for that.

  • please listen to this bands SONICS MONKS WAYLERS LITTER CWB these are american garage bands just before HENDRIX can you tell me which its that english garage band from before 1966??

please dont tell me of heavy blues inflluencied bands like STONES KINKS PRETTY THINGS etc its not garage at all peharps they did influence alot of garage bands. please tell me a english garage band? i do want to know it

  • @rochebraziliano The british bands and American were playing heavy blues psychedelic in their garages, Heavy metal comes from british bands playing American blues.. The british bands influinced the American bands ultimately, even 'blue cheer' with their one heavy song,. Metal comes from british bands playing black american blues the english way, Why say that is a lie? And dude as if i didnt know where hendrix is from? gimmie a fucking break? ha! Metal guitar sound comes from english more so

  • @dannyhood66 the rootds of HEAVY METAL comes from AMERICAN GARAGE BANDS they did use distortions just before HENDRIX altought they was very influencied by HEAVY SIDE OF BRITISH INVASION. hey HENDRIX was american born. That american bands im meaning did not come to sucess cause they was UGLY and OBSCURE and had not due PROMOTION and then that ENGLiSH did rip off they sound and make it chartable. if you tell me any rock music genre was first made up by any england band then i will tell its a lie

  • @rochebraziliano If america is home of heavy metal, why didnt COVEN, and many other bands, get reconized? Not to mention hendrix was not excepted here until after monterey pop, England excepted him with open arms..Hendrix was one of the foreriders of heavy metal..Lot of people did not hear melting distortion until.. Hendrix used to hurt people. I remember hearing black sabbath in 1980 it was like being tranceformed' was already10 years old back then..Grand funk is not heavy.england was heavy
