Male Lion defending his hunt (Girraffe) from adolescent females from another pride (Somalisa Camp, Hwange National Park, Zimbabwe - November 2009) This all occurred some 120 meters from the camp and
approximately 6 to 8 meters from our vehicle. Shot with a Canon camera in video mode due to camcorder battery packing up.

Well, that went pretty well, he could have killed her. Both those lions could have killed either of those lionesses but they didn't. Maybe it was just a lesson. After all they were young and female.

LOL if she was on heat i am sure her treatment would have been different :)

If she was from another pride, she is lucky to escape. Maybe them 2 males are planning to take over her pride. Usually invading lions are mauled to death.

It could have ended up a lot worse for that young Lioness. Thankfully the boys were happy to prove a point that day without killing.
