Just about nine years ago, I got the MTH Premier model of the Pennsylvania Railroad Q2, a duplex-drive 4-4-6-4 freight hauling behemoth of a steam locomotive. It was one of the first locomotives equipped with Protosound 2 (PS2). I've had it running on and off all the years since and it still runs great. In this True HD 1080p video, you can see it hauling my PRR freight train. Since the feedback I've received about this train has been quite positive, I visited the train store recently and bought quite a few more cars to add to it. In the slow speed run-by you can get a good look at the now two dozen car train. Following the higher speed run-by, you can watch as the Q2 uncouples from the train and returns to its track in my locomotive ready yard. Please visit my web site -- http://www.toytrains1.com -- for lots more videos and photos of both real and model trains.

  • Many modern MTH Premier locomotives are specified as Protoscale 3/2, which means that they can run on 2-rail track.

  • @toytrains1 who made the swicth machines and lanterns

  • @nukinfuts1000 The turnouts are Ross. The machines are NJI and hide under the layout. The lanterns are also Ross.

  • Pennsylvania sure had some awesome articulated locomotives.

  • @toytrains1 will those lanterns work with tourtise switch machines

  • Hello, can I purchase MTH or any other O Guage model equipment WITHOUT that third center electrified rail? I love Koh's Models but they're awfully expensive! Advise, please? NgaiO

  • @trainsanddominoes900 Those silly Korean orphans who assemble these always screw that sort of thing up.

No, really, these were built like this. The pennsylvania railroad was a bit experimental.

  • i think the lionel train is a factory error because at both ends of the engine theres 2 wheels at the front and 3 wheels at the back

  • How much engines does he have?

  • The whistle is just to dern awesome! ;)
