  • I like the idea but Challenge #3 seems like inviting trouble. I know we shouldn't hide our beliefs or censor ourselves for the secular public, but at the same time there are a LOT of angry atheists out there that will pick a fight about any little thing. I just hope that particular aspect of the challenge doesn't get out of hand.

  • A bold statement doesnt need to be argumentative. God is God all by himself. We don't need to defend him OR "shove jesus" down anyones throat. Easily, a bold statement can be "God has changed my life" or just post your favorite scripture. I understand your reasoning. Good call. Love is def the motive.

  • Just go make a bold statement about God. If they have a problem with it then so be it. I'm gonna go make a bold statement about God right now and if someone disagrees then oh well!

  • When someone attacks your faith, your gut reaction is to give it right back to them. It takes patience and discipline to fight that urge, and that comes with practice. So it's understandable for you to feel apprehensive.

  • Those are good points - just not responding is such a simple idea and yet it's easy to forget in the heat of the moment. Thanks for the advice.

  • If someone decides to start an argument, just ignore them. That's really their problem, and not yours. You don't have to respond.

Indeed, all who desire to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will be hated - 2 Timothy 3:12

So to say "but at the same time" is making an excuse to not to do something that is difficult. I understand where you're coming from, but God challenges us to do difficult things and sometimes we find ourselves in difficult situations. Do it out of love, and you will be fine.

  • Agreed, it doesn't usually start out argumentative, but often times people turn it into an argument... good luck and hope all goes well!

  • So stinkin' awesome.

  • hahaha this was so awesome !
