West Lothian singing sensation Susan Boyle made a surprise appearance at Edinburgh's King's Theatre on Sunday night (17 January 2010).
The international star from Blackburn got up on stage alongside panto-dame Allan Stewart, who was doing a send-up of her performance on Britain's Got Talent.
The 48-year-old heard about the impression and decided to attend the final night of 'Robinson Crusoe and the Caribbean Pirates' along with 60 friends.
Greg Maxwell speaks to to Allan Stewart who says it was a great way to close the show....
"A CHEEKY panto dame sent up singing sensation Susan Boyle - then was stunned when she got up on stage with him.
And instead of giving shocked Allan Stewart an ear-bashing, grinning SuBo hugged the actor in front of hundreds of cheering fans.
The 48-year-old singer, of Blackburn, West Lothian, had been watching the show at Edinburgh's King's Theatre last night.
An insider said: "Allan was doing an affectionate send-up of SuBo. But he was shocked when the real Susan Boyle got on stage beside him at the end of his final performance. It was fantastic.
"They had a laugh and a cuddle and the crowd just went mad. Everyone was chanting 'SuBo! SuBo!' "
It's thought Susan's relatives saw an earlier performance of Robinson Crusoe and the Caribbean Pirates and loved Allan's impression of her famous Britain's Got Talent audition.
When they told Susan, she booked 60 tickets for the show's final performance.
The source said: "We could not believe it when she turned up with a bus full of people.
"No one was worried about the fact Allan had been doing a send-up of her because it was affectionate.
"But to our shock, she asked to go backstage and started laughing and joking with all the cast and crew.
"It was amazing when she went on stage with Allan. She was a great sport."
Shame on the British Press, for trying to drag this lovely lady down, why can't they print stories like this, instead of all the made up stories about "Melt Downs" etc.
Susan is more together than the rest of us all put together!!
