There are many tasks associated with this hobby that, while necessary, arent always the most enjoyable of chores. Changing shock oil, rebuilding differentials, and painting bodies are a few of them. Perhaps the task I dislike the second least (rebuilding shocks will always be my most-loathed task) is gluing tires. Over the years, I have probably glued hundreds of sets of tires, more often than not, doing so the night before a race starts---hunched over the desk in a dimly lit hotel room at all hours of the night and early morning. I have picked up many tips and tricks along the way to help you glue your tires the right way, guaranteeing that you wont go into the first corner and have all four tires come sailing off the rims.

  • I've seen people use Carb cleaner but I don't know if Its a good way to clean your nitro motor

  • @memosoccer18 Carb cleaner can damage and literallymelt some plastics

  • whats the best tire glue for a stampede xl-5? 2.8 rims

  • @123xyan I tend to stick to Losi, Dynamite or AKA CA, no pun intended

  • if you dont have any motor spray what are some other good common houseold substitutes, WD-40 maybe?

  • @rockthecatbox21 Never use WD-40. That's a lubricant, not a cleaner. I also don't recommend soaps like Simple Green as they tend to leave a residue behind. There really aren't any household substitutes I'd recommend, sorry.

  • I guess I was understanding all these videos wrong. I tried to glue my holeshots to a set of associated dish wheels, and ended up with pretty badly wobbling tires. I guess the goal is to get the glue on the outside part of the bead, and not behind it? My wheels have a channel for the bead. I was trying to get the glue into that groove, rather than on the bead of the tire itself.

  • You got glue all over your wheels son.

  • will nitro power kleen work instead of magnum force?

  • the video is good, but he looks like the guy from the office.
