You dont have any idea, the cage is appropiate.

This cage is too small for any bird! specially a canary that needs to have strong breast muscles to sing for many years! And get the bird some real perches!!!!!! these plastic perches/ wrong diameter are bad for the bird's feet. Get a good Canary book!!!!

This small cage is only appropriate for transporting a canary. It is way too small for the bird to live in.

His cage is FINE and he is a beautiful canary! Someone had the bright idea that (inspite of the fact that I had singing canaries when I was a child in small cages) that what I needed was a BIG cage! She brought it half way around the world for me and he was NOT happy in it and still didn't sing. He was so much happier to get back to his small cage.
