ok, you're clearly an idiot to think that kenjutsu is not a martial art. Kenjutsu is NOT "The way of the sword" that is kendo. Kenjutsu (read the JUTSU part of that) is accepted world wide as a martial art. I bitch because of people who are ignorant and yet think they know more about something that they don't participate in, that someone who has for years...like you...

I know Kenjutsu is not a Martial Arts, martial arts has to do with your Fists, Kenjutsu is the way of the sword, also many schools of Kenjutsu were founded during the edo period, Kojiro was one of many Kensei. For a person such as yourself who believes to be a sword trainee or mastering the sword you bitch a lot, not a good characteristic of a swordsmen.

Sasaki was defeated by Musashi Kensei. and if you understood the level of skill, discipline, and mental fortitude that Samurai and Ronin on the level of Saski and Musahi Kensei had, then you would understand where I'm coming from. Not attempting to be a cheap imitation.

you make no sense. Branching out is learning new things. Also there is only one kind of carbon....carbon...it's an element...period...and while you're right about shinken being made from carbon steel, it's crystalline structure changes in the forging, and becomes forged steel, there is a difference. And I hate to break it to you but your very wrong on several things about Kenjutsu there, it's a martial art, not a school. sasaki did not start kenjutsu either.

Also, I dont plan to branch out, and dont plan on mastering the Nodachi alone, I train with all weapons as a form of passion, been doing it since i was 7yrs old, I dont plan on going to a school for something that can be self taught, also if you do know history, You would Know Of Ganryu or aka Sasaki Kojirō, He founded your school "Kenjutsu" and mastered the Nodachi and used it as his main weapon, Its a shame you think the Nodachi is unwieldy as hell because Sasaki mastered it.

I Just said It was Carbon steel sword, You shouldve asked me if it was clay tempered, and what kind of Carbon it is, If you do know swords you wouldve asked, becuase anyone who knows swords knows that carbon steel can be Clay tempered, and knows It comes if different variations. My Nodachi is as this " High Carbon steel 1095, clay tempered" I know how to pick my blades =)
