  • @FergR Actually, when it began I didn't understand what was going on and innocent American that I was I thought, "Oh great, now I can get closer to the stage." Fortunately a guy from Crewe told me to run, and I followed. And yes, the appearance of Hillage on stage did have something to do with it now that I think about it. Thanks for the reminder.

  • @vhliv I remember Steve Hillage coming on stage and it all kicking off. We just curled up on the floor and covered our heads and the wankers just ran through the crowd like a low-intelligence tsunami.

    I agree that Blink or Green Day were never and will never be considered "real punk" in my eyes. But to group in NOFX with those bands is fucking absurd.

    Punk evolves just like all music. Just because NOFX sounds "clean" now or whatever doesn't mean they aren't punk or never were it means they have been playing forever and their music has evolved. They own their own label and hand out fuck yous all the time in their fast paced beautiful music. Isn't that the essence of punk. By the

  • @PerfectShits They're not and they never will be. Yeah, Green Day is more of a pop rock if anything. They just sound to clean and composed to be punk, you really don't get that sound anymore--at least with any mainstream bands because they don't know shit.

  • @warlocksarewatching I know. I don't see how Green Day was EVER punk. Not even pop-punk. I don't see how NOFX was really punk either. Or blink-182.
