i hate these so called experts that think they know all the answers to how a kids mind works. everybody is different. i hate it when people try to read me like a book... especially adults( parents, teachers, etc.). when a kid..no, when a person feels comfortable they will come to you, pushing to find out will only make things worse.

this is such crap. If my mom came to me one day and said, "Hi sweetie, i know you have confusing feeling talk to me about all your thoughts, feelings, and opinions and ill tell you exactly what to do because all teens are exactly the same.

BS! Just because some freak made a bunch of Lifetiem movies about "troubled teens nowadays" doesn't mean that everyone between 12 and 20 are eiter pregnant, high, or about to steal your stuff. if u rlly wana b frinds with ur kid, leav em alone!!!!!

I'm 14, and I don't "hate" talking to my parents, and in fact I kind of enjoy it. As long as my parents don't talk down to me and treat me like a human being, they're my best friends.

As for the people my age who dislike their parents, these fake bonding experiences must be a drag.

Parents and children should get along (or not get along) naturally, based on a mutual understanding and like. Not just family love, but actually like each other's presence.
