@mac163 Whell, this is kinda "showbike", so this is all about the form, then performance :]

Not bad but get rid of that front drum and fit a disk brake, cafe racers are more about function than form.

I worked as a contractor at the Triumph Meriden plant in 1970/71. As I recall the Trident model was the make or break deal for Triumph. It never became the export success it was intended to be as they were being consistently out-sold by Honda's. To save jobs the factory got a government subsidy of millions of pounds and run as a Workers Co-operative fantasy. They should have sacked all the workers, given them a million pounds each and told to fend for themselves.

Nice looking bike.
Really neat exhaust.
The only drawback, in my mind, is the brakes . I prefer disc as they look cleaner.
But hey, it's your bike and unique.
BTW: What after a hundred years single tubes make a bike handle bad.
I don't think so.

If you didn't have adult ADHD when you started looking at this video, you will have it by the end. They ruined a pretty cool Triumph.

What's the big deal? It's a rat cafe bike with a super ugly tank.
Why does a bike with a super ugly tank need it's own video?

would not handle ... single down tubes never do
