1821 Hidden Point Road is an architectural gem! With a total renovation (and a lot of new construction) in 2004, this four-bedroom home on a 1.5 acre lot offers a fantastic waterfront opportunity. There is 333 ft of bulkheaded waterfrontage on Burley Creek, and the private pier with 7 ft water depth could easily accommodate 4 boats. There's a 15,000 lb boat lift, floating dock, and storage shed at the water's edge -- perfect for all that boat stuff.

Enter through the old monastery door to the inviting foyer with gas fireplace and tile floor. To the left is the formal dining room, with Brazilian cherry hardwood floors, American cherry paneling and a vaulted ceiling with beams. A bay window in this room faces the front yard. As you continue through the foyer, the kitchen and sunroom are to the right and the dramatic living room is straight ahead. The living room is perfectly proportioned, with the vaulted ceiling and two walls of windows. The Mendota fireplace has a limestone surround and raised hearth. Cherry paneling, that was milled on-site under the direction of architect Vince Greene, conceals the coat closet, pantry, and wet bar with beverage center, brass sink, and green slate counter!

The gourmet kitchen has top-of-the-line appliances, including: a KitchenAid double oven with convection, Thermador five-burner gas cooktop, KitchenAid warming drawer, microwave, and refrigerator, and 2 Fisher & Paykel dishwashing drawers. The "bookmatch" cherry cabinets show off the grain of the wood, while the translucent Australian granite suggests the color of the bay. The breakfast bar rests on custom acrylic holders and is perfect for a buffet, or breakfast if you please!

The main level master bedroom suite offers a soothing retreat -- the bedroom, with crown moulding, has a sitting area with waterviews. There are two walk-in closets, one of which could hold a stackable washer & dryer. The deluxe bathroom has an oversized shower and two Kohler sinks set on a sandstone counter; there is also plumbing for a bathtub. There are two additional bedrooms on this level that share a hall bath, and a 4th bedroom that has a private bath.

On the lower level, there is a large family room, an exercise area with mirror walls, and a home office. There is a full bath, and laundry area. Plus, there's a workshop and plenty of dry storage! The family room has glass block windows. There is a two-zone heat-pump system with propane back-up. The windows are Hurd or Pella and, in some rooms, they have built-in blinds. It's nice to know that a lot of the vacant land nearby is in a land trust, and will never be developed.
