religion is based on faith and feeling. the point of the video is showing how we can not be guided by faith alone. watch both videos and think about what i said.

I don't think people arguing with religious revelations dont "get" evolution.

Sometimes people desperately want to believe there is the universal, indestructible, omnipotent answer to something. Realizing this beautifully built up system maybe is not as all-encompassing and perfect can be hard.

It destroys hopes.

Hence this clinging to the fact there must be a "masterplan" towards "perfection". This supposes there is an end - which in nature is only survival of the species, nothing higher.

to me it doesn't crush hope. it shows out time here is short, and we must make the most of it. not only for ourselves but for the continuing of our species. I will PM you a paper if you want. it is real short. i wrote it for my world religions class. my teacher was curious how someone like me views mankind, god, and sin.

I did not get the sun-hot cup of tea thing.. what was that supposed to be about? emission of warmth? (and yes I know the amount is pretty limited for the cup of tea :) ) it  s probably not important, but I still would like to know where the sun debate came from :) just out of curiosity

a youtube user made 2 or 3 videos about me and why my "atheism" was illogical. she asked me if god didn't exist why didn't the sun cool off. like a cup of warm water. so i went on to explain why.

So is atheism, you have to have faith that there is no god when you can't prove it in the end of all things.

It's kind of like how Israel is a Jewish state but it's only run by atheist jews, you know, being full of crap 24/7 and shifting beliefs depending on who you're around.

Notice how it's not "Illogical Jews" or "Illogical Christians" because that is counter-productive to his goal of pretending to be neutral and impartial in order to put a false impression on people.

I do not think you are "attacking Islam".

If you scientifically prove something wrong you are not attacking, but criticizing or verifying it..

I think language is a powerful tool, and by saying you are attacking Islam you are downgrading yourself. I believe you are a rational person, presenting rational arguments. Not a hater..
