This is Amigo, my betta. I've had him for about 3 weeks and he is doing great! His home is an Eclipse 3 gallon which is also amazing! I think it's terrible to put a fish i a bowl it can barely swim in, and am a strong supporter of betta TANKS, not bowls. At any rate, I would strongly suggest a Eclipse system to anyone who can afford it and would love to have a nice, sleek design that is easy to put together and use.

  • your tank needs:

    *a darker ground

    *more plants

maybe you should even buy a bigger tank...about 7 gallons

  • why you say 7? 3 isn't bad for ONE betta because they don't get very big.

And I didn't have many plants because I wanted to get decent at aquarium care before getting a bunch of real plants.

    Thanks for the comment.

  • Yeah, I know what you mean but I kept mine i a 3 gal tank too. I can tell you that he is way more active and satisfied in his new one.

I like the natural type of AQ...most here on youtube are really no AQs I would keep a betta in 'cause he needs an AQ that simulates his environment in Thailand ore anywhere else.

Therefore I say that darker ground and plants are a must have. To make sure he will get as old as he can and to give him a nice home

Do not get me wrong...I just want to help ;-)

  • I would love to get some more plants and such for him but I actually don't have him right now. We moved and I couldn't take him so he's with my boyfriend <3

I apologize for my snappy attitude, I was kinda having a crappy day yesterday..haha

Thanks for the comment and advice! :)

  • @zombiethief i have the same pagoda. u can get it at petsmart

  • Awesome fish tank! Where did you get the red Japanese gate decoration?

  • @YTUNYTUN108

yes they are...and no they do not have any bacteria 'cause the enterprices do not want to sellfood that makes your fish sick. ;-)

I would just seperate your food and the worms into different corners

  • @CoryDemone :

    ridicoulous ?

Well, a betta splendesn needs at least 25 L

and prefers dark ground because it makes the fish calmer. And did you ever have a look at the environment betta come from ? THERE ARE LOTS OF PLANTS

Do you people even collect information about a fish before buying it ? -.-"

    I do not think so...

The way this fish is kept is not species-appropriate ......same for the fishes in pet stores...

I do not want to blame anyone but I want the people to realize

  • @RainbowShaker

Your comment is ridiculous, both substrate and plants are completely optional. The fish would be just as happy with a bare tank, its up to the owner. And 3 gallons is monstrous compared to the little containers they get kept in, in a pet store.

  • he is so beautiful!

  • ***** FROZEN PACKET BLOOD WORMS***

ARE THEY SAFE/SANITARY TO KEEP IN FREEZER WITH UR OWN FOOD????

    cuz they might have bacteria/parasites
