Shrink Ray

A man receives a package for his birthday. Inside he finds an insanely powerful shrink ray! As he tests the shrink ray out he finds out the dangers of having such a weapon lying around!

The shrink ray is actually a lightsaber hilt that I made myself for a Star Wars fan film!

This was shot on a Sony PMW EX1 and edited in Final Cut Pro and Adobe After Effects CS5

hi Cris if that is your name i know that you are a profesional in adobe after effects and i am a subscriber on your chanel so can you please give me edvice for adobe after effects. I have this problem when I want to import my footage. I go to file import then file and when I select my footage clik on open and it says " Adobe After Effects error: File canot be opened ,it may be in an unsupportred format " can you help me please.

@mrSmileyFace2001 Hmmm. Well do you know what format your video files are in? You may have to convert the video files into MP4 or .movs which are both pretty standard codecs. Can you play your video files in any other software?

Great cinematography. Shrinking is always a cool special effect and you've pulled it off well, but I especially loved the way you had multiple shots on-screen at the same time.

@Clonejks I'm glad you liked that! That was a spur of the moment thing I decided to try when I started editing! It would have been easier if I had that intention while filming.

I totally agree with everyone else's comments - you should defo have the shrink ray make it's return!

Maybe something along the lines of Honey I Shrunk The Kids storyline?

When you're glowing, is that just effect Glow? If yes, how did you make it so it didn't just glow near your head even with a mask? I hate that glitch or whatever it is :(
