VW Golf mk5 TDI with LED reverse and rear fog light globes

short clip showing the performance of the LED replacement "globes" that i have installed in the reverse light and rear fog light on my car.

these are as almost as bright as the original incandescent globes.
each led unit has 13 x 1W led chips on it. 3 facing back, and 10 facing the reflector (sideways). the video doesn't do these justice. load equalising resisters were required to make these work correctly.

all i have to do now is the number plate lights, then the whole rear end will be LED.

it's tons brighter than the tail lights and brake lights.

as for getting fixed for free, that only works if the other party has insurance.
