is shellac the same as sanding sealer, because i cannot find any place thats sells sanding sealer

@MatthewAJohnson Sorry for the delay in response. Sanding sealer is lacquer based, while shellac is a resin based product. Shellac and Sanding Sealer are not the same, but can be used for the same application. If your'e going to use Shellac, I would recommend diluting it with alcohol before use.

Great presentation. I use to refinish furniture and I used sanding sealer on open grain woods especially. Deft makes some excellent products and yes it requires a good respirator and ventilation.
